For already 14 days Hrachya Boyajyan, participant of Sari Tagh rally, continues his hunger strike. Hrachya Boyajyan, who has been in custody for already 10 months, wants to meet with the Prosecutor into his case in order to understand his guilt. “My husband suffers from diabetes insipidus. I can foresee the worst, as he says that he will not stop hunger strike,” Narine Ghazaryan, wife of Hrachya Boyajyan, told “A1+”. Sari Tagh residents, including Hrachya Boyajyan, held protest action, complaining of cessation of gas, water, electricity supply and operation of public transport in their district. After the action, 10 residents of Sari Tagh were charged with use of dangerous violence against the government representative. Hrachya Boyajyan’s advocate Arayik Zalyan notes that still at the end of the preliminary investigation, he presented a mediation for changing the precautionary measure, but it was rejected. The court hearings in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts are held so rarely that he hasn’t presented a mediation to the court for changing the charge. The court hearing into the case will continue on May 5. “If he holds hunger strike until that date, his health condition will deteriorate,” said the advocate.
