Levon Aronian ends in a draw

Second round of Grenke Chess Classic 2017 was held in Germany.

Armenia’s strongest chess player Levon Aronian faced Norwegian GM Magnus Carlsen with black pieces. As it was expected it was a long and uncompromising fight for victory. After the 70th step the chess players ended in a draw.

Levon Aronian gained 1 point and as of now together with 4 chess players they share 2-6th places. World’s strongest chess player Hou Yifan heads the standings.

Today in the 3rd round Levon Aronian will face French Maxime Vachier-Lagrave with white pieces. The latter also has 1 point.
