Imported agricultural products must be replaced by local
Hereafter imported agricultural products will be replaced by local production. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan gave such an instruction today, “Local production should be encouraged, in particular biological and mineral fertilizers,” he said and instructed the Minister of Agriculture to present proposals on boosting the activities of seed breeding stations in a month’s period, and if necessary involve specialists of Agrarian University of Armenia in those activities. The Minister of Economic Development and Investments has been assigned to present a project on production of mineral and biological fertilizers, “This sphere is very beneficial and comprehensible business; also talk to private sector. I don’t think that we will not be able to find investors.”
