Vladimir Akopian wins, while his son losses game at 19th Dubai Open 2017
Armenian GMs Vladimir Akopian, Gabriel Sargissian and Tigran Kotanjian have earned their first points at the 19th Dubai Open which kicked off on April 3. Armenia’s Eduard Akopian (aged 12) was unable follow the example of his father and lost to his rival. In Round 2 to be held on April 4, Vladimir Akopian will face International Master Lorin D'Costa. Sargissian will compete with Prantik Roy of India, who beat Eduard Akopian in Round 1.
