Nikol Pashinyan, member of Yelk (Way out) alliance, while touching upon the course of campaign at the meeting with journalists, said that it proceeded very well, people’s attitude was very positive. He touched upon the RA First Presidents Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s observation that according to Yelk’s program Karabakh conflict will never be solved, “And we can assume from his words that Karabakh will never reach self-determination, there will never be a solution acceptable for us.” He says that Levon Ter-Petrosyan observes Artsakh issue from historian’s point of view, whether what will be said about this period in several years, “I am sorry that his stance hasn’t been changed since 1997 until today, though world is changing, situation is changing. During the nationwide movement in 2008, Levon Ter-Petrosyan never presented such a stance. Only two out of 18 powers in the Armenian National Congress (HAK) share his viewpoint. In essence, I have always said that in the issue of Artsakh conflict resolution, HAK is in coalition with the Republican Party of Armenian (HHK).” As for the observations of Congress-HZhK (Armenian National Congress-People’s Party of Armenia) alliance members that Nikol Pashinyan intentionally deleted all his positive posts on Levon Ter-Petrosyan from his website, he noted, “nikol.am website received a message from the provider that the website was hacked and it was temporarily closed. We have been engaged in the elections, that’s why we haven’t had time to deal with that issue. When the website is restored, the posts will also be restored.” In reply to the question with which power Yelk will cooperate in the NA after elections, Nikol Pashinyan answered, “We will not mention names of concrete powers, as all the powers entering parliament will cooperate with the HHK. According to our polls, three powers will enter the NA- HHK, Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and Yelk. BHK will form a coalition with the HHK. Today the HHK carries out its campaign in this way ‘you will vote for our yard’s Movsesik, vote, or that Abulik, Tsglik; their rating is higher than that of Serzh Sargsyan.’ I doubt that Sharmazanov will vote in favor of Ashotyan or vice versa.” To the observation that HAK press secretary Arman Musinyan said that Yelk criticizes HAK for its stance on Artsakh issue, but they are very small for that and for that at least they should have their personal opinion, Nikol Pashinyan noted, “Arman Musinyan had better first look at himself then me and we will see who is small.” As for the criminal case of Samvel Babayan, he noted, “If he doesn’t have any connection with Igla, it is a political persecution, if he has, the circumstances must be clarified.”
