Europe's leading football clubs have rejected controversial plans for an independent Super League, said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Chairman of the European Club Association (ECA). “We completely agree with the reform of the 2018-2021 cycle of the Champions League and Europa League. That is meant for top clubs. We are ready to remain under the umbrella of UEFA,” he said. Earlier UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said Super League will happen "over my dead body." Thus, Ceferin can sleep well through the night after Karl-Heinz Rummenigge’s statement.
