In his press conference on Wednesday, Vice-Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov said there was no need to construe Levon Ter-Petrosyan's interview and his view on the Artsakh issue. “The messages were clear and were addressed to internal and external audiences,” Sharmazanov said. Commenting on the same issue, Leader of the opposition Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian said he got the impression that Levon Ter-Petrosyan is irreplaceable in the Artsakh peace process. Raffi Hovannisian is a champion in squandering the political capital,’ Sharmazanov said. Speaking about the scandalous lists of voters drawn up by school principals who are accused of abuse of administrative resources, Eduard Sharmazanov said, “Who gave you the moral right to insult these people who are the same age as your mothers and/or sisters? There is no need to offend a person for collecting 20 000 votes, there is a presumption of innocence.” Speaking about campaign pledges given by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and Prosperous Party of Armenia (BHK) who pledged to invest $5 billion and $15 billion in Armenia respectively, the senior HHK representative cited the words of gusan (singer) Jivani, “Our hill will not hurt or detsroy their high mountain.”
