Georgian Police arrest Armenian citizen over arms smuggling case (video)
Police in Georgia said they had arrested an Armenian citizen who allegedly helped a former Karabakh commander smuggle a shoulder-fired rocket to Armenia. Robert A, 40, was arrested in Tbilisi on March 27. He was put on the Wanted List under Article 235 of the Armenian Criminal Code. Samvel Babayan, a former military commander of Nagorno-Karabakh, was arrested on March 22 with two other individuals on suspicion of illegally obtaining and attempting to smuggle a Russian-made surface-to-air Igla system to Armenia. On March 25, the three men were placed under two months' pretrial detention. Babayan did not plead guilty to the accusations. More details can be found here
