A magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit Georgia at 05.24 am local time (1:24am GMT). The epicenter was 35 km northeast off Armenian-populated town of Akhalkalaki, in Samtskhe-Javakheti. The hypocenter was at the depth of 5 km. Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the underground jolts measured 5 points at the epicentre.
