People choose not to go to doctors as they can’t afford the high costs (video)
A sizable proportion of people in Armenia do not go in for treatments or doctor visits because they simply can’t afford the high costs. Medical care in Armenia remains unaffordable for many citizens. However, people do not blame the situation on doctors. All political forces running for Parliament have presented their visions on health sector reforms in their election manifestos. The political parties and blocs suggest improving the insurance system and increasing funding for the state budget. Our fellow citizens, however, do not believe that politicians will keep promises made along the campaign trail. They recall the Soviet period when medical care was free. Details in the video
