2.5-magnitude quake hits near Byurakan village

The Seismological Network of Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) registered a 2.5 magnitude earthquake in Armenia at 00:40 am (20:40 GMT) at Latitude 40.380°N and Longitude 44.150°E The epicenter was 11 km northwest off Byurakan, a village in Aragatsotn marz (province). The hypocenter was at the deapth of 10 km. The underground jolts measured 3 points.
