Turkey wants to host EURO-2024
Turkey has officially announced its intention to bid to host final round of Euro 2024. Turkey is the second applicant to host the tournament, after the German football association made its bid official last month. To note, Turkey has never hosted any large football tournament. Formerly Turkey wanted to host EURO-2016, but former President of UEFA Michel Platini entrusted it to his homeland, France. Turkey has refused to host EURO-2020, as it will be held in different countries with few matches.
