Nine forces submit documents to CEC to participate in April 2 vote (video)

Nine political forces, including four electoral alliances and five political parties have submitted documents to the Central Electoral Commission to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia. The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation – Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian Revival, Free Democrats and the Communist Party of Armenia (HKK) are among them. The blocs include the Yelk (Way Out) which comprises the Civil Contract, Hantrapetutyun (Republic) and Bright Armenia parties, the alliance formed by Armenian National Congress (HAK) and its ally - People’s Party of Armenia (HZhK), the alliance set up by influential businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, and the bloc formed around three ex-ministers Seyran Ohanian, Raffi Hovannisian and Vartan Oskanian. Registration of the parties and alliances will be held from February 16 to 26. The parliamentary elections are slated for April 2.
