Armenia’s champion wins Azerbaijani chess player
Armenia’s current champion Hovhannes Gabuzyan performs successfully at Ferdowsi Cup Chess Tournament in Iran. Our GM has already won 4 rounds and remains in the lead of the tournament. In the last round Hovhannes Gabuzyan defeated Azerbaijani international master Logman Guliyev. Another Armenian chess player Hrayr Simonyan scored 3.5 points out of 4 possible and shares 12-28th places. Today the 5th round will be held. Hovhannes Gabuzyan will face Slovakian GM Milan Pasher, and Hrayr Simonyan will face French, women’s GM Anda Safransca.
