Vahan Shirkhanyan may be transferred
Former Deputy Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanyan may be transferred from “Yerevan-Kentron” penitentiary institution to “Armavir” penitentiary institution. “They want to cause additional problems and additional physical pain to Vahan Shirkhanyan,” his advocate Hayk Alumyan told “A1+”. According to the words of the advocate, it is a new way of torture, as due to unbearable spinal pains Vahan Shirkhanyan cannot sit in the car, “He was even unable to cross 5 minutes’ road to take a blood test, and now they want to take him 40 minutes’ way.” To remind, Vahan Shirkhanyan doesn’t participate in the court hearings of Arthur Vardanyan along lines of the case of the armed group in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts; he demands a stretcher. Yet now he must cross 40 minutes’ way by car to participate in the court hearings. “The car constantly shakes and it is a torture for a person with spinal pains,” added Hayk Alumyan. By this step, according to the advocate, they want to discourage Vahan Shirkhanyan, but they will not succeed.
