General Department of Civil Aviation denies reports about 'cancelled' flight

The General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia (GDCA) has refuted media reports alleging that a UTair Boeing 737 bound for Yerevan on February 1 was unable to operate the flight from the Sheremetyevo international airport due to problems with the valves in the rear of the aircraft. “UTair Aviation does not operate flights from Sheremetyevo airport, the company operates flights from Vnukovo airport. At the same time, we want to inform you that a UTair UT 837 airplane operated a Moscow-Yerevan flight from Vnukovo airport at 11.36 which landed in Yerevan at 1:58 p.m. No incidents occurred during the ight”, Satenik Hovhannisyan, spokeswoman of the General Department of Civil Aviation said.
