Can small grants help Armenian communities? (video)

Basen is a community in Armenia’s Shirak marz where a number of grant projects have been administered by different organizations. The village allocates over AMD 6-7 million of its AMD 35 million budget to the co-financing of grant projects.

The head of the community shared his experience during the annual conference on Rural Development in Armenia held by “Women for Development” NGO. Over the past few years, the organization has carried out numerous projects in eight communities of Shirak marz. In the near future, similar projects will be carried out in Lanjik, Tsoghamarg, Torosagyugh an Arpeni communities.
