Gabriel Sargsian wins silver medal in Iran
Gabriel Sargsian, a member of the Armenian men’s chess team, came 2nd at the International Chess Festival "Khazar Cup 2017. In the last round on January 27, Sargsian won Alireza Firouzja and earned 7 points. Hungarian GM Ferenc Berkes won the tournament with the same number of points. Armenia’s Mamikon Gharibyan, European Under-12 Champion, came 22nd with 5,5 points while Sedrak Matevosyan came 34th with 5 points.
