A court in Yerevan today extended for two months the precautionary measure (arrest) of Pavel Manukyan, one of the members of the Sasna Dzrer group that attacked and seized a police station in Yerevan in July demanding the release of their jailed leader Jirayr Sefilyan. Manukyan’s lawyer Harutyun Baghdasaryan told A1+ that they expected the court to reach such a decision; that is the main reason why Manukyan refused to attend the hearings. The lawyer says they are going to appeal the decision in the Court of Appeals. Harutyun Baghdasaryan says Pavel Manukyan is in good physical condition and walks with crutches.
