Armenian chess player Elina Danielian says she is not ready yet for the Women's World Chess Championship (WWCC) which will be held in Tehran, Iran, from February 10 to March 5. “Last year, I took a long-term break after the birth of my first child. I have been out of practice for some time therefore it will be very difficult [for me] in Iran,” says the experienced chess player. In Round 1, Elina Danielian will face Padmini Rout of India. Speaking about her rival, she said, “Although she [Padmini Rout] is young, she is very dangerous because she represents India, where women's chess is on a high level. Besides, the WWCC is a knock-out tournament where players have no right to make mistakes. At least, I shall try my best in Tehran.”
