“As of now I can imagine myself only in the Ministry of Agriculture” (video)

In 2017 the Ministry of Agriculture will develop the subsidy programs of the sphere. Minister of Agriculture Ignati Arakelyan said today at the year-end final press conference and added that today the problem is unfavorable condition of mechanisms, “We have variants of several mechanisms as how we will carry out that work.” The Minister touched upon the changes in the fertilizers’ market, “Formerly that sphere was financed.” Ignati Arakelyan highlighted the work with the private sector and said that next year the Ministry will cooperate with the best ones, “We will start cooperation with the best private sector representatives so that they become locomotive for others.” Minister of Agriculture touched upon uncultivated lands and noted that there is a need to make them cultivated and there are already instructions, “There are lands, which aren’t cultivated as there is no irrigation. First of all that problem must be solved, if after that they remain uncultivated, then we will try to understand why they aren’t cultivated, maybe it isn’t beneficial. We must create conditions so that individuals are interested in cultivating those lands.” Touching upon the debts of “Vinar” company, Ignati Arakelyan noted that they came to an agreement with the company to sell the alcohol they have and give the villagers their money, “But it, in fact, isn’t the issue of the Ministry of Agriculture, but we said that we should stand by the villagers and support them. That’s why we intervened and applied to the Prosecutor’s Office,” noted the Minister and added that they must reach the situation when villagers are paid their money a week after the purveyance. In reply to the question in which post Ignati Arakelyan can imagine himself after the parliamentary elections, he answered, “As of now I can imagine myself only in the Ministry of Agriculture, but I do not know what will happen next year.” He also explained the fact of holding the year-end press conference at “Armenia Wine” factory, “I can see nothing bad in advertisement; during the year we can visit many such places and advertise them. I didn’t have such an intention, but unwillingly it turned out to be advertisement, but advertisement is not a bad thing.”
