Karabakh Defense Army takes punitive actions to stop Azerbaijan's activity
Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire along the entire perimeter of the Line of Contact 65 times last night, firing 1200 rounds from artillery and mortars, the NKR Ministry of Defense. The most intensive fire was reported from the eastern (Akna) and south-eastern (Martouni) directions. Azerbaijani armed forces shelled Armenian military posts in Martouni 14 times, firing from 60mm and 82mm mortars. The advance forces of the Nagorno-Karabakh had to retaliate to suppress the enemy’s activity, especially in the direction of Martouni, and stop any further provocative actions by Azerbaijani troops. The NKR forces remain in full control of the situation along the entire length of the Line of Contact. The situation is relatively calm on the frontline, the Ministry says.
