Employees of Nairit chemical plant will receive their salaries for one month on Tuesday, December 20. The plant’s bankruptcy manager has promised about 260 workers of the plant to transfer the salary for December to their accounts. “The remaining amount, the salary for 4 months, will be repaid after the sale of the property,” Vrezh Sargsyan told A1+ Company. Nairit rubber plant is now in the process of bankruptcy. The plant, located in a Yerevan suburb, has been standing idle since March 2010. In November, the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources announced a tender for private investors to re-launch Nairit chemical plant's production facilities. Applications are accepted until January 20, 2017. Meantime, the employees of the chemical giant regularly stage protests demanding their salaries of four months. They have even blocked the street leading to the plant. Today, they were to stage another action outside the Presidential Palace on Baghramyan Avenue, but later they decided to wait a bit longer.
