A magnitude 4.5 earthquake hit Azerbaijan in the early hours of Tuesday, with tremors being felt in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. The Seismic Protection Service of the Armenian Emergency Ministry registered the jolts at 4:33 a.m. Yerevan time (GMT 00:33). The epicenter was 33km northwest of the town of Shamakhi. The hypocenter depth was 15 km. The force of earthquake in the epicenter was 6 points. The jolts measured 3 points in Stepanakert, the capital of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
