2017 state budget adopted at second reading (video)

Short time ago the NA at the second reading and fully has adopted 2017 state budget amended draft with 83-24 votes and 1 abstention. Before that Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) lawmaker Mikayel Melkumyan noted that budget isn’t a step forward, on the contrary, the policy of decrease of the GDP continues, “The budget has deficit more than 80 billion, but they continue taking loans. We cannot share budget policy and the BHK faction lawmakers will certainly vote against the budget.” The BHK faction member Tigran Urikhanyan noted that the RA Government even does not take part in its budget policy, “Attitude establishes attitude. I propose to actively vote against it as it doesn’t express citizens’ expectations.” PM Karen Karapetyan wasn’t present at budget voting. Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Head Levon Zurabyan noted that HAK will vote against the budget and explained, “The absence of the Government proves that the Government confesses that it is not able to develop the country.” The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan noted that the same situation has existed for 25 years and the Government representatives have to be absent. Rule of Law (OEK) faction Head Heghine Bisharyan said that mistakes of previous 25 years should be corrected, “That’s why the opposition representatives are urged to unite and change something with struggle.”
