NSS: Yerevan Municipality employee arrested
As a result of operative-intelligence measures taken by the RA National Security Service, Yerevan Municipality Urban Development and Land Supervision Regional Department Head A.A. has been arrested on suspicion of bribery. According to the preliminary information, during October-November 2016, A.A. personally or through the third parties demanded large amounts of money from citizens for providing final acts for construction of a residential house, a shopping hall and public facilities. A criminal case has been instituted under the RA Criminal Code Article 311, Part 3, Provision 3 (Receipt of a bribe by an official for implementation or not implementation of obviously illegal actions within his authority, in favor of the briber or briber’s representative) Preliminary investigation is underway. Note: Suspect is innocent until proven guilty by the Court of Law.
