GM Samuel Sevian is the second in Texas University

American-Armenian chess player Samuel Sevian took the second place in the chess open championship in University of Texas at Dallas. 50 chess players, including 15 Grandmasters, from 19 countries took part in the tournament. At this night’s 9th round Samuel Sevian, playing with black pieces, defeated Guillermo Vasquez from Paraguay, scored 7 points and equaled to the leader of the tournament Jeffrey Zhu. According to additional calculations, our compatriot was recognized the second, as in the chess game with Jeffrey Zhu he lost to him.
