The NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) lawmaker Mikayel Melkumyan have the same opinion that we should wait for the parliamentary elections and see whether Serzh Sargsyan will become a PM of Armenia or not. Serzh Sargsyan, by the way, says the same, replying to the question of Al Jazeera TV company, whether he considers the fact of working as a PM of Armenia under the conditions of new Constitution. Yet, in September, 2014, Serzh Sargsyan said that after the constitutional amendments he was going to become neither a PM nor Speaker of the National Assembly. Armenian National Congress faction secretary Aram Manukyan says in connection with it, “How much time do you need to understand that we are telling the truth that the Constitutional amendments were a means to keep the power.” According to an opposition lawmaker the whole world knew that Serzh Sargsyan changes the Constitution for remaining in power. Consequently, Serzh Sargsyan is going to falsify also the elections of 2017, “Is there any other ground to think that they will not rig the elections.” Republican lawmaker Lernik Aleksanyan spoke to the political figure about Serzh Sargsyan; if the person said that he wouldn’t be a PM, it means that he won’t be, “He has always kept his word.” “Reproduction is out of question,” says Lernik Aleksanyan. Serzh Sargsyan could easily be reproduced as a president, “If he did it for himself, he would keep president’s post, he would have an opportunity to become the party head again and prime minister.” Serzh Sargsyan didn’t give a clear answer to the question of Al Jazeera’s journalist, as according to the Republican lawmaker, politics don’t like certainty, “Politics like answers for that very day.” Lernik Aleksanyan, by the way, says that the Republican Party, of course, would like Serzh Sargsyan to remain in power after the elections.
