Culture Minister: I am not going to join HHK
The second building of the first printing house in Yerevan was blown up on Thursday evening. Minister of Culture, Armen Amiryan, says the building is not included in the list of historical and cultural monuments; hence the owner was free to do with the building what he wanted. “Should the building be so valuable, we would include in the list of cultural heritage sites,” he said. Armen Amiryan said he was not going to join the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK). “I assure you that you will not see me in the ranks of that party, as I believe that Minister of Culture should not be affiliated with any party,” he said.
