Head of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), Levon Zurabyan, today spoke about HAK’s possible cooperation with other political forces in the 2017 parliamentary elections. “We do not expect political parties to respond to our statement publicly because these issues are solved in a different way. I do not want to speak about their reaction. We did not receive and did not even expect to hear public responses from serious political parties. The formation of opposition poles that will have an impact on society is done through negotiations rather than statements,” Mr. Zurabyan added. Speaking about Gagik Yeghiazaryan’s return to politics, the head of the HAK faction said, “I do not want to speak about something which is not a fact yet. Later we shall understand what political forces are involved in the struggle. There will be negotiations, alliances will be formed, then you can ask me for my opinion and I will answer you with great pleasure. We consider our cooperation possible with those forces that want to change the regime and establish democracy in the country. Tsarukyan’s precedent was very bad in this context.”
