Nothing is excluded in politics, Armen Rustamyan, Head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun), said in parliament on Friday when commenting on Gagik Tsarukyan’s possible return to politics. “You do not need to be a graduate of Harvard to understand that if you don't do politics, politics will do you, especially given the present changes and activation in the political field,” he said. Mr. Rustamyan says his party has worked with Tsarukyan and they see no problem in this regard. “When he [Tsarukyan] said that he did not want changes with bloodshed that was the best approach. The logic that is circulated in Armenia will force many people to activate because it is wrong to stay aside. We should try to receive positive results from the ongoing processes, our country needs them,” Mr. Rustamyan added. Asked whether the political arena needs Gagik Tsarukyan, Armen Rustamyan said, “His need is felt by people he is trying to help with his charitable activities. We welcomed the decision of the former head of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) to leave politics to avoid bloodshed and further confrontation, because clashes were inevitable. So many unfolded pages have been opened in Armenia that I would not be surprised to see new pages re-opened.”
