During today’s parliamentary briefings, opposition lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan spokes about the recent four-day sitting of the National Assembly and the new government program. She said the Republic of Armenia. She said the Republic of Armenia will not have an opportunity to carry out an independent policy as long as the Soviet KGB operates in the country. Speaking about Gagik Tsarukyan possible return to politics, Zaruhi Postankyan said Tsarukyan continues to remain a lawmaker which means he has not left politics. “He [Tsarukyan] has only been forbidden to head the party (the Prosperous Armenia Party – BHK) that he founded. This is a typical manifestation of authoritarian regimes. He was simply told to step down as the party leader. Let us look at everything in a different way. Let us analyze the events that happed in April and summer. A new cabinet was formed in the country where Russia has an important role. There is problem in Armenia to control the opinion of opposition masses, there is a problem to defuse hatred and economic crisis, there is also a problem to attract additional forces,” she said. Asked whether Tsarukyan’s return is a must today, Postanjyan said, “Perhaps his supporters long for his return, but I do not feel the need.”
