“According to the recent research, the confidence of Armenia towards Russia has decreased by 17 percent,” told today Denis Dvornikov, the Russian publicist, member of the Russian Association of International Law in the interview with journalists, noting that he is worried about that number. According to Dvornikov, especially the mistakes of the Russian diplomacy after the April war resulted in that reduction. “I think Rogozin earned 10 out of that 17percent with his statement that Russia will continue selling arms to Azerbaijan, and it is normal. If the Russian diplomacy had a little empathy, other thoughts would be voiced,” he noted. The Russian publicist noted, that another factors have also impacted the lack of trust in our country towards Russia: “The arrest of Levon Hayrapetyan; the Russian law enforcement bodies haven’t given any clear explanation about this till now. Marat Galustyan’s arrest in Baku, he has Armenian origin, but he is a citizen of Russia,” he noted. According to the publicist, though Russian diplomacy is solid, it is flexible and it is possible to influence it. He thinks that the Armenian community in Russia must take steps: “The impact of the Armenian factor is minimal in Russia, it is necessary to increase the political influence and raise the Armenian voice”.
