October 27- black day: Videos from archive of A1+ (video)
17 years ago on this day the government of Armenia was beheaded; a group of terrorists, headed by Nairi Hunanyan, broke into the RA National Assembly, where the Government-NA question-and-answer session was underway and shot dead the leadership of the executive and legislative bodies. The state media outlets didn’t confirm the news on the murder of the leadership of the power for more than 5 hours. Only after 22:00 the Presidential residence issued a statement that there were killed and injured. The bodies of the killed were taken out from the parliament building only late in the evening. Before that, the terrorists put forward certain preconditions and demanded then acting RA President Robert Kocharyan. President Robert Kocharyan had a face-to-face meeting with Nairi Hunanyan, and until now it isn’t known what they spoke about. The hostages were released only on October 28; getting guarantees for security, the terrorists surrendered and were taken to the isolator of the National security. Today no one believes that the terrorists acted independently; October 27 crime hasn’t been fully revealed. After 17 years the society knows what they knew on October 27 of 1999.
