“Especially girls are fearless and like extreme sports”, says author of Yell Extreme Park project Tigran Chibukhchyan, “Our clients are mainly single women at the age of 18-26. I think in the independent Republic of Armenia the girls are more fearless and active, it is the reason.” He says that this project, which has been operating in Yenokavan community of Tavush marz, which is 140 km far from Yerevan, for already a year, is a family business, “We considered our target group to be the foreign tourists, but Armenians were more active, especially Yerevan residents. We aim at proving that there is future in Armenia for staying and earning so much money, which will ensure welfare.” Tigran Chibukhchyan says that their employees, 50-60 people, are from Yenokavan, “It is a fact that at present Yenokavan is the community with the least number of migration. Yenokavan residents don’t want to leave Armenia; Yerevan residents didn’t believe the success of our project, but Yenokavan residents believed and stayed. There are also Syrian Armenian employees, who arrived in Armenia after the recent war. The more the flow of tourists to regions is, the greater the chance to reduce migration is.” Yell Extreme Park project has 5 zip-lines, which are already under the supervision of MES. “Though all the security measures are taken into consideration, in this case the most important thing is the vigilance of zip-line user. If there are problems, it is because of the adventurousness of the zip-line user. Of course, it is a risk, adrenaline, but while making each step one should remember that they shouldn’t be adventurous and should keep all the security rules,” noted spokesperson of the project Tatevik Simonyan. Tigran Chibukhchyan also noted that they are planning to have the world’s longest zip-line (3.2 km) until the end of May, 2017, “We expect foreign investment worth USD 200 000. This new zip-line will grant an opportunity to bridge Yenokavan and Yell Extreme Park. By the way, French district will be built in Yenokavan; a few years ago Yenokavan became a sister-city with one of French cities. It is a marketing step and there will be French investments. We plan to develop ethno and eco tourism, as well as agrotourism; on one of the hills we have established traditional cornel plantations, about 5000 trees, and we are going to make traditional vodka of Yenokavan. We have 5-10 years’ development projects.” By the way, Yell Extreme Park has hosted 12 000 visitors in a year. The authors of the project also plan development of small aviation with short flights from Yenokavan to Yerevan.
