Two Armenians injured in bus crash in Russia remain in grave but stable condition

The condition of the two Armenian citizens injured in a bus crash in Russia in October 14 remains ‘grave, though stable,’ the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reports. At 10 a.m., on Oct. 21, the MES National Center for Crisis Management contacted the operator on duty of the Center for Crisis Management of Russia’s North Ossetia region to ask about the health of the Armenian citizens, who continue treatment  in a multi-profile hospital in Beslan town, where they were taken immediately after the fatal accident. Harutyunyan Zh. M. (b. in 1949) and Poghosyan S.S. (b. in 1990) remain ingrave though stable condition. Tsatinyan A. N. (b. in 1984), who was transferred to a hospital in Vladikavkaz after the crash, was discharged from hospital on October 20. Five people were killed, and 27 others injured when a passenger bus bound for Yerevan collided with a heavy truck in North Ossetia, six kilometers away from the city of Beslan, early on October 14. The truck was reportedly parked on a roadside near the city of Beslan.  The bodies of the two victims – Arevik Lunonyan and Yuri Poghosya- were transported to Armenia on the same day. The other three victims were citizens of the Russian Federation.
