Government of those, who catch mice (video)
Dashnaktsutyun has to admit that individuals have their role in implementing the changes. The NA Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) faction Head Armen Rustamyan thinks that the individuals are the core, “Everything can be written well and remain on the paper.” According to Armen Rustamyan, Karen Karapetyan has brought new expectations, finally cats, which are ready to catch mice, are sitting in the government, “People say that cats are kept for catching mice; if that cat cannot catch a mouse, that cat mustn’t be kept.” Dashnaktsutyun faction Secretary Aghvan Vardanyan compares the current government with the previous; the previous one exaggerated the numbers connected with the fulfillment of the plan, for example, in the sphere of agriculture, “Compare how much purveyance there was last year and how much there has been this year, and you can see that last year those numbers were exaggerated.” Aghvan Vardanyan doesn’t know whether the authorities knew that the numbers were exaggerated. He says that this Government can see the picture of economy objectively and is looking for solutions, “Our main aim, the aim of this press conference, is to push the active citizens, the active classes of society, the civic society to involvement; we shouldn’t sit at our houses and wait how Karen Karapetyan’s Government will solve this or that issue.” Everybody must feel himself responsible for this Government’s activities in order to make a change. But what can the citizens do, when the leadership is corrupted, “One part, at least the most active part can refrain from corruption; have you seen a citizen, who says that ‘I gave a bribe in order to be included to this or that project?’” Armen Rustamyan notes that there is a provision in the Government’s program, which touches upon the defense of a person, you alarms on corruption case, “And they shouldn’t be considered as troublemakers.” The journalists reminded that Dashnak Minister of Economy himself threatened that he would mention the names of the republic’s monopolists, but no name has been mentioned so far. Mr Rustamyan agrees; one must do as he says, “This Prime Minister has such an approach to his work, I am sure, he doesn’t just make statements, he knows the value of his words.” Aghvan Vardanyan reminds that the 6 months’ period of the government program is the term, during which the sphere will be cleaned and grounds will be established for strategic reforms.
