Two elephants meet in tableware store and fight each other: Arman Navasardyan about war between Armenia and Azerbaijan (video)

“Azerbaijan has always been preparing for a full-scale war. There is no need to worry about it,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan said on October 19. “Strategic weapons may not matter in the given situation. Neither Baku, nor Yerevan can use them. It is excluded. Sometimes, I compare it with the scene when two elephants meet in a tableware store and fight each other. We may appear in the same situation. We can destroy Baku, leveling it to the ground, but Azerbaijan can also give us a similar blow from Nakhichevan. Such a thing cannot happen because that is what will become the beginning of World War III,” Mr. Navasardyan said today. Speaking about the Yerevan-hosted CSTO summit, he said it had ‘more negative than positive aspects.’ One of the negative things was that [President of Kazakhstan] Nursultan Nazarbayev did not come to Armenia to participate in the meeting. Besides, the meeting participants did not elect CSTO Secretary-General from Armenia. “Reverence was shown to countries which were against it. As you know those are Turkic-speaking countries, and the organization has not reached the appropriate level that fits it,” he added. Anyway, Mr. Navarsadyan says our problems will not be resolved, even if an Armenian is elected. The positive thing was that the organization outlined its roadmap and Russia made use of the venue [Yerevan] to show that it is ready to soften its relations with the United States.
