Weather: Black ice on some roads in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations says there were heavy-going roads in Armenia as of 3.00 p.m. It is snowing in Gegharkunik marz, Goris and Sisian cities in Syunik marz, Gyumri city in Shirak marz, Ashotsk, Amasia village, Hrazdan city in Kotayk marz, Spitak, Stepanavan and Vanadzor cities in Lori marz. Sotk-Karvachar highway is heavy-going and some sections of Goris-Sisian roadway are covered with black ice. According to the information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Upper Lars checkpoint is open for passenger cars with tire chains.
