HKK to participate in parliamentary elections: “For years elections have been held with violations”
The Armenian Communist Party (HKK) is happy with the appointment of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan. “He came from Russia and not only Russia. He came from the organization, which is a state inside the state. It means that he worked at Russia’s Gazprom as Deputy head of “Gazprom” and it is a great experience,” Tachat Sargsyan, first Secretary of the Armenian Communist Party, told “A1+”. He thinks that the Government headed by the new PM is on the right way and will able to correct the situation in the near future. And now the Armenian Communist Party is going to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections. “We are to participate, as we were in power for 70 years. During the years of our power the republic prospered and became a developed republic not only in the Soviet Union, but in the whole world,” said HKK first Secretary. In previous parliamentary elections HKK has never appeared in the parliament, has anything changes? “The fact that the Communist Party wasn’t included in the parliament doesn’t show that the party weakened or doesn’t have base. It proves that for years the elections have been held with violations in the republic.” He says that in the republic today there are 500 000 pensioners, who worked during the soviet years, didn’t have any social problems so they will vote for them.
