Agreement violated: Republican member elected Vanadzor Mayor (video)

33-member Council of Elders of Vanadzor today has elected a Mayor. Few minutes ago the Committee on Counting summed up the data. According to the results, Republican Mamikon Aslanyan received 19 votes, candidate of Bright Armenia Party Krist Marukyan has received 14 votes. “There will be more sessions of the Council of Elders, and it will turn out who voted against, noted Head of Bright Armenia Party Edmon Marukyan after the session, the society will learn what happened.” According to Mr. Marukyan, it was result of pressures and threats, “That’s why we suggested holding open voting; there were calls, different kinds of pressures.
