Serzh Sargsyan feels the need of Surik Khachatryan at the most acute moments - Zaruhi Postanjyan (video)
There is no desire for systemic changes, Heritage party member Zaruhi Postanjyan said during the parliamentary briefings on Friday. “By changing the names of ministries you do not better the quality of our lives. Serzh Sargsyan manipulates the public and deludes people imitating that he is getting rid of notorious officials but he does not want to make systemic changes,” the lawmaker said. She is concerned by the fact that the authorities continue to enjoy monopoly under the new electoral code. “We need to put an end to political monopoly. Any citizen of the Republic of Armenia should be able to exercise his right to vote irrespective of his/her whereabouts. Today we have more than one million Armenians living outside the country who are unable to exercise their right to vote.” Speaking about the dismissal of Surik Khachatryan, Governor of Syunik marz, Zaruhi Postanjyan said, “It was not the first time Khachatryan had been dismissed. He [Serzh Sargsyan] applied the tool at the most acute moments, for example, during the referendum. I mean he he felt the need Surik Khachatryan.”
