Hayk M. Martirosyan and Manuel Petrosyan become world champions

Armenian junior chess players performed successfully at World Junior Chess Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk. In U-16 championship our chess player Hayk M. Martirosyan gained 9 points out of 11 possible and confidently took the first place. At the same age group Davit Mirzoyan gained 5.5 points and took the 44^th place. At U-18 championship Manuel Petrosyan became the world champion by gaining 9 points. Our second participant at this age group took the 20^th place with 6 points. At U-14 championship our compatriot Shant Sargsyan took the 4^th place with 8 points, and Arthur Davtyan took the 9^th place with 7 points. In the girls’ championship Siranush Ghukasyan performed successfully and took the 9^th place with 6.5 points at U-18 championship.
