Hrant Bagratyan was confused (video)
When Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), Vakhtang Mirumyan, was presenting in the National Assembly the amendments to the Law on Remuneration of Individuals holding Public Offices, Tevan Poghosyan from the Heritage Party, asked him a question regarding press reports. “The press writes about the planned structural changes in the SRC. Wouldn’t it be much better to finalize the changes and then discuss the project?” Poghosyan asked. Vakhtang Mirumyan said he was not aware of it, but added that it is much better to address the inconsistencies and not to wait for changes. Hrant Bagratyan, a lawmaker from the Armenian National Congress (HAK), said he had been reading the new tax code all night through but he was not able to understand clearly the answers to the proposals. The MPs told Bagratyan he need not get angry because they were discussing the amendments to the Law on Remuneration of Individuals holding Public Offices and not the tax code. Hrant Bagratyan smiled when he shook his hand.
