Budget of Erebuni-Yerevan to be decreased (video)
Yerevan Municipality has decided to decrease at twice the budget intended for Erebuni-Yerevan celebrations compared to last year. “According to the budget confirmed by the Council of Elders AMD 130 million has been allocated for Erebuni-Yerevan 2016 celebrations, but only AMD 65 million will be used for events. During last years the budget made up AMD 90, 120, 130 million,” Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan said during the press conference at Yerevan Municipality. Parade, event outside Yerevan Municipality and Gala concert won’t be held. The celebration will have its social direction; the funds will be directed to the families of disabled, injured or deceased freedom fighters. “Conditioned by this logic, this year Erebuni-Yerevan celebration will be very modest,” said the Deputy Mayor. By the way, this year the celebration will be held on October 8 with the slogan “City of Sun”. The social project will kick off tomorrow. 2798 socially vulnerable families will receive presents.
