Over 1.5 tons of Turkish and Georgian tomatoes in hideouts

Pre-Clearance Control Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia has prevented several cases of customs rules violations in Bagratashen, Bavra and Meghri checkpoints. In particular, the Department officers have found over 1.5 tons of tomatoes with Turkish and Georgian origin at Bagratashen checkpoint. The smugglers have concealed the goods in truck containers in specially prepared hiding places in order to avoid the proper formulations. The Department officers have also prevented the attempts of illegally importing over 600 kg cleaning products and 200 liters of car fuel. A number of undeclared goods, including household items, appliances, food, decorations and etc. have also been found. Other cases of customs violations have been recorded too.
