According to the charge, Ararat Khandoyan tried to snatch policeman’s shield
The case of Ararat Khandoyan, brother of “Sasna Dzrer” group’s member Arayik Khandoyan, has already been sent to the court. As we learn from DataLex information portal, the case will be investigated by the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts, judge- Vardan Grigoryan. Ararat Khandoyan is accused of hitting and pulling the police officers during mass disorders in Yerevan on July 20, 2016, as well as of trying to snatch the policeman’s shield. Ararat Khandoyan considers the criminal case initiated against him to be a political persecution. Arman Arakelyan is also charged with use of violence against the police officers during the mass disorders.
