Eight firefighters feared dead in massive fire at Moscow warehouse (video)
Eight firefighters went missing on Thursday night while putting out a fire at a warehouse complex in eastern Moscow, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said. They are feared to have died in the terrible fire while extinguishing fire as a result of the warehouse roof collapse. The local media reported that the fire had broken out in a warehouse full of artificial flowers made of polyethylene plastic. Since it is not possible to extinguish burning plastic material with conventional firefighting methods, firefighters used special fire extinguishing foam. Earlier reports said that the fire area in the warehouse increased to 4000 square meters and plastic products were burning, which caused an excessive smoke.
