According to the former Deputy Head of the National Security Service Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, the military parade dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independents aimed at establishing feeling of safety and security in the society. He thinks that the military parade should be held after victory. “But we have four days’ miserable episode, we have 800 hectares and a military parade. We must be divided between those 800 hectares and the military parade, we should try to understand why that military equipment remained silent for four days, why the enemy wasn’t destroyed in its hole,” said G. Yeghiazaryan. According to sociologist Aharon Adibekyan, there were two consumers for the parade- external and internal. The external consumer is our neighbors. “According to the data of the U.S. Intelligence Agency, Armenia has the most efficient army in the region. First, as it has professional command staff. We are a winning army. Besides, our mental potential is higher, consequently our soldiers are cleverer that the Azerbaijani soldiers. At the same time we aren’t inferior to our neighbor in terms of armaments,” he said. According to the sociologist, we will always be inferior to Azerbaijan in terms of quantity, but during the field battles the attacker must be four times stronger, in mountains- 8 times. It means that in order to win Artsakh, Azerbaijan must have an army of 500 000 and not 80 or 100 thousand. Yet, according to A. Adibekyan, data that now that country has population of 9 million, doesn’t correspond to reality, as migration is high in that country, and we can say that about 6 billion people live there. It means that the country doesn’t have an army of 500 000.”
