“Free and independent Armenia” These words could be heard at Republic Square throughout the day. Pupils of Yerevan’s Primary School N38 were participating in the military parade held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of independence in special outfit. “It was very interesting for us to see the powerful army and modern sophisticated weaponry of Armenia,” they said. Thousands of people watched the parade, which displayed the modern arsenal of the armed forces. “We have wonderful weapons, the enemy is already scared of us,” said one of our co-citizens. Many believe that if we used these weapons in the four-day war in April, we could avoid casualties. During the parade, the Armenian squadron of fighter planes flew over Republic Square in Yerevan leaving behind a trace in the colours of the Armenia flag.
